Job Description: Senior Data Scientist – Predictive Analytics & AI Agents (Azure)
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build predictive and explainable ML models focused on claims utilization analytics and forward-looking forecasts. The role will also design AI agents that enable conversational data insights over enterprise datasets within the Azure Data Fabric ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Build baseline, decomposition, behavioral driver, and forecasting models for utilization and cost
Develop frequency–severity models (Poisson, Negative Binomial, Gamma, Tweedie)
Apply explainable AI techniques (e.g., SHAP, driver attribution)
Work hands-on within Azure Data Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Fabric Data Science)
Integrate models with Power BI semantic models
Design and implement AI/LLM-based agents for conversational querying and insight generation across Azure datasets
Required Skills
5–8+ years in data science or advanced analytics
Strong experience in insurance / healthcare / benefits analytics
Proficiency in Python, SQL, ML & statistical modeling
Experience building AI agents or copilots using LLMs (Azure OpenAI preferred)
Strong communication skills to translate analytics into business insights
Preferred: Azure ML, Fabric, MLOps, Feature Stores, Responsible AI experience.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $140,000 per year
