Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Staff Data Scientist in Amsterdam to join our team and lead our Data science & AI pillar and drive AI transformation in the company.
What you'll work on
- Actively refine Fastned data science and AI strategy and roadmap and ensure we keep up-to-date with the latest trends when relevant for Fastned;
- Coordinate our AI Leadership Task Force, AI Champions and the execution of our cross-functional AI workstreams;
- Coach our second data scientist, and mentor other team members (data analysts and data engineers) on data science, machine learning and AI matters;
- Uncover data science opportunities and scope projects with various teams across Fastned;
- Develop data science models - simulations, machine learning, GenAI or causal inference depending on the use case;
- Test and deploy your models independently;
- Contribute to improve our data architecture and ways of working to facilitate data science work;
- Foster AI adoption at Fastned by hands-on supporting employees in using their GenAI tools successfully and building automations;
