About the Internship
Do you want to work on solving real-world business challenges using state-of-the-art technology? Are you excited about how Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern NLP techniques can be leveraged to power document intelligence systems, including multi-step, agentic workflows that combine reasoning, retrieval and automation? This internship offers you the chance to work on exciting and high-impact AI projects used in real products across industries such as finance, legal, and professional services. You will gain hands-on experience analyzing unstructured text, building and improving NLP and LLM-based systems, and contributing directly to solutions that turn complex documents into structured, actionable insights.
What you’ll be doing
As part of our team, you’ll work on real-world NLP tasks with direct product impact. From document classification to information extraction and text generation, you’ll have the chance to contribute to critical applications shaping industries worldwide using cutting-edge technologies.
Along the way, you’ll develop essential skills to:
Explore, Design and Develop:
You will experiment with different NLP and LLM techniques, play a key role in building and refining models and contribute to the entire development process; transforming unstructured text into structured, actionable insights to help solve real-world business challenges.
Collaborate:
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, gaining insights from colleagues, and contributing to global projects.
Evaluate and Improve:
You’ll help assess model performance, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on solutions to enhance their impact and effectiveness.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for highly motivated, curious and talented students to join our team and contribute to the advancement of document intelligence within Intapp in this exciting internship role.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks, gained either in industry experience or academic and personal projects
Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and LLM-based approaches, including tasks such as document classification, information extraction, and text generation.
Exposure to agent-based or multi-step systems are a plus
Curiosity about the power of AI to solve business problems and improve processes.
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
