Role overview

We are looking for a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join a fast-scaling Series B deep tech company at the forefront of AI, LLMs, and quantum-inspired technologies. You will work on cutting-edge projects involving Large Language Models, AI agents, RAG systems, and computer vision, collaborating with an international and highly skilled team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop quantum-inspired techniques to compress and optimize Large Language Models
  • Conduct rigorous model evaluations, benchmarking, fine-tuning, and optimization for accuracy, robustness, and efficiency
  • Build LLM-based applications, including RAG systems and AI agents
  • Assess model strengths and weaknesses and propose innovative improvements
  • Act as a domain expert in LLMs, identifying opportunities for AI-driven innovation
  • Design, train, and deliver custom deep learning models for clients
  • Work across diverse AI domains, including computer vision
  • Maintain thorough documentation of experiments, models, and development processes
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in AI and LLM technologies
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience designing, training, or fine-tuning deep learning models
  • Strong experience with transformer models (LLMs and/or computer vision)
  • Proficiency with Python and libraries such as PyTorch and HuggingFace (Transformers, Accelerate, Datasets)
  • Solid mathematical and theoretical understanding of deep learning algorithms (training & inference)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), Docker, and deploying AI solutions
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Research publications in deep learning or related fields are a **plus
  • Experience working in Spain
  • Background in cybersecurity-related AI projects
  • 3–4 years of professional experience as an AI / Machine Learning Engineer
  • Barcelona, Barcelona provincia: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
  • AI/ Machine Learning Engineer: 3 years (Preferred)
