As part of its Apprenticeship campaign, AXA XL is recruiting a Data Scientist and Business Intelligence Analyst (M/F).

AXA XL is the AXA division dedicated to property and casualty insurance for large corporations and specialty risks. Our teams design targeted solutions to cover risks, from the most common to the most complex, for our clients. Whatever our clients’ activities, we are here to support them in an increasingly uncertain yet fascinating world.

We are committed to helping our clients anticipate, prepare for, and prevent claims or limit their impact, and to recover quickly when a claim occurs. We continuously strive to listen to our clients and brokers, and to put our technical expertise and proactive approach at the service of their satisfaction.

Are you a passionate student eager to apply your skills in Business Intelligence and Data Science?

Join our AXA XL Data Science and Business Intelligence Apprenticeship Program for a two-year experience that will empower you to develop your technical abilities while making a real impact on our organization.

What you’ll be DOING

Data science & modelling: Understand the core principles of data science, including machine learning and NLP.
Data Reporting: Gain hands-on experience in creating insightful reports that drive operational efficiency.
Process Automation: Learn how to automate processes using star schema data models, enhancing your technical toolkit.
Data Integration: Participate in exciting transformation projects and integrate new data sources into our reporting systems.
Governance Practices: Understand the importance of data governance and manage compliance around our reporting platform.
Problem-Solving: Cultivate a strong appetite for solving data-related issues, leveraging analytical skills to identify gaps and propose effective solutions.
Collaboration: Work with diverse teams, enhancing your teamwork and communication skills.

What you will BRING

Pursuing a degree (Master 1), in Data Science, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related fields.
Basic understanding of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting techniques.
Familiarity with data modeling concepts, particularly star schema.
Strong analytical skills, a keen interest in problem-solving, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
English proficiency at a minimum of B2 level.

Location: La Défense

Duration of Apprenticeship: 24 months

Preferred Contract: Apprenticeship (Work-study)

Start Date: September 2026
