Role overview
As part of the OCI Multimodal AI Science Team, we are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead image generation model research and development efforts. As the video generation model scientist lead, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge video generation and manipulation technologies. You will lead a team of world-class scientists in exploring new frontiers of video synthesis, style transfer, and video editing.
- Research: Conducting in-depth research on image and video generation techniques, including generative adversarial networks (GANs), diffusion models, and other emerging approaches.
- Model Development: Designing, developing, and training state-of-the-art generation models that meet the highest quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Building and mentoring a high-performing team of scientists and engineers to execute on ambitious technical goals.
- Collaboration: Partnering with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced generation capabilities into applications and products.
- Innovation: Identifying new opportunities for generation technology and exploring emerging trends in the space.
- Industry Awareness: Staying current with advancements in both image and video generation, ensuring our approaches remain cutting-edge.
What we're looking for
- PhD Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics or a related field with a dissertation, thesis or final project centered in Machine Learning and Deep Learning) with 4+ years relevant experience is preferred but not a must; OR Masters or Bachelor’s in related field with 8+ years relevant experience
- Strong publication record, including as a lead author or reviewer, in top-tier journals or conferences.
- Extensive experience in image generation, computer vision, and deep learning
- Proven track record of leading research and development projects
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and architectures
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
